Hi there,

Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I have an NTSC camcorder which i have had 4 few years and have never been able to put anything onto VHS without paying silly money. With my new pc i was told if i bought a capture card i will be able to. I bought one (£40 basic), it works and its a good picture (640/480 res. One big problem though, a 3 minute video (avi) costs me a staggering 4GB of HDD space!!! I was told that i could put films from old tapes onto my pc aswell, but no way if thats how big they are, maybe i need a few HDD's.

Im sure there is something i can do
Any ideas please?

You need to encode your files to Mpeg 1 for CD then you can put you vids on cd. Try looking in the search engine on this site. The subject has been covered extensively over the last few week. Regards, Bob
