Simple question that I can not find an answer to

Can I download my Home videos onto a CD or does it have to be a DVD if so what software do I require

Many Thanks

Depending on your software,NERO has the ability to burn Video CDR's,and Roxio also has this ability.I transfer my videos into the pc,then simply ask NERO to render it and it takes approx half hour to render a 10gb avi file, which fitted onto a cdr.The playback quality was perfectly acceptable(although visibly grainier)

As Chegs says it is easy to make CD's from Camcorders.

You will need a Capture facility ie a capture card, a TV Card that can capture or something liker the Pinnacle Lynx cable.

To edit the video you would need a suitable program ie Pinnacle Studio or the like, Windows XP comes with Movie Maker 2 which is an excellent starter program.

When recording to disk you can choose between the VCD or SVCD format. SVCD gives better quality but less recording time.
