video cards!!!

Dear All,
How hard is it to install a new 64 meg video/grpahics card? Im fairly well clued up in the pc know where things are stakes, is it hard tinkering with the usuage in bios though?

If it's in place of an existing card, you won't need to do anything with the BIOS. You will need to unistall the existing drivers, and re-install the new ones, though.

If it's in place of graphics on the motherboard, you may have to change a setting in the BIOS, or move a jumper, or do nothing - all depends on the motherboard.

If you've already got an AGP graphics card it should really be as simple as taking out the old one and slotting in the new.

Hello Jintysheep!

Unless you have an old System Bios (not VGA Bios), it should recognise the new graphics card no probs. Please advise what OS you are using, what Motherboard you have and the graphics card.
