Video Camera capture onto pc

I have been having problems transferring video from an old Sony Handycam. After a lot of searching I bought an EasyCap converter and started transferring my video. I downloaded to a laptop running on Windows Vista using the programme disc provided.

Unfortunately, there wasn't sufficient memory on the laptop so I decided to try downloading to our pc, running on Windows 7...but I can't find a capture programme that recognises the EasyCap converter.

Now, I know the programme, that came with it, doesn't work on Windows 7 so are there any out there (free if possible) that can be used with EasyCap?

Either of the first two on this list might do it for you - though I have not used them myself.

I always use my DVD recorder to transfer from Camcorder to DVD and then to PC.
