The Viagra offers continue....

Hi All,

Don't worry, I'm not selling anything!
I have been plagued of late with a host of SPAM that seems to be following the same formula.

For example, the subject line always reads with a sentance and then some rubbish at the end like this:

"Medical breakthrough for men ecy uc uw vezxrant"

I do block each of these as they come a long, but I am still faced with the weird type at the end of line.

What are your thoughts on this please?

Many Thanks, Nick Jones

you with freeserve?

i used to be, and was receiving these exact messages constantly, thank goodness i've moved ISP now they are only in my memories...

(i am NOT saying it's freeserve's fault, just saying maybe they are being targetted by these spammers)

i don't have a solution though!

I use the BT spam trap and Mailwasher. I don't see these things.

Suggest you get a Spam blocking prog on your mail programme -
try 'Mailwasher' - from click here
and set it up to delete these on the server

I also get the Viagra spam, but the one that worries me more and which I get plenty are the ones for enlarging a certain part of the male anatomy. I am beginning to feel a bit inadequate plus who told the emailers I needed this product ;-) lol

Yes Xevious I am with Freeserve. I get the more 'regular' Spam yes, but this type seems particularly frequent, and is possibly changing all the time so it gets past my blocked list. Otherwise, I wouldn't say that Spam is a big problem for me.
Would the 'Rules' help me at all? Never used them before...lok a little complicated. Probably not there for blocking Spam anyway.
Thanks all ,and to The Idle One for the link. I'll check it out soon.

Regards, Nick

All versions up to the last are free. Its difficult to get hold of the older version though.

So I now have to pay? Maybe a free copy on an old CD is haround...which was doubtlessly thrown away by yours truly recently!

Legolas - - -don't you get feeling alone and inadequate mate, this happening to me too. But as my wife keeps harping on, she says I don't write that often so I don't need any more lead in me pencil - - - don't not what she's on about though ;-)
