vhs to computer

i want to save some old vhs tapes to my computer and then make dvds out of them ,, what capture card and software do you recommend ,, cheers

Easier way than all that messing about is to get a DVD recorder for the tv that will copy VHS to DVD, Daewoo do a good one for about £180. Takes about 10 mins to setup (including unpacking time) to burning your first tape to DVD.

yes i agree . but i have spare vhs recorder sitting next to my computer in the garage ,doing nothing ,, shame not to use it ,and it would leave the family to watch in peace in the front room
