I have connected my Sony VGX TP2S to my Sony KDL32D3000 TV via HDMI cable, and my TV's audio output into the back of my Sony STR-KS1100 surround sound system via analogue lead. This does not provide sound output through either the TV or surround sound system when watching BluRay films that are played on my PC - to get any sound I have to plug headphones into the back of my PC. I would be very much obliged if someone could help me figure out how to get things working so that I can: play BluRay films on my PC; view them on my TV; and get the sound of my surround sound system.

Would it be possible to connect an HDMI cable from PC to my surround system and then a 2nd HDMI cable from my surround sound system into the back of my TV? Would that work and, if so, how do you work out which HDMI cables to buy?

Any help would be much appreciated.
