HiWhen I rip a CD to my computer using the DVD rom or DVD RW I get very slow copying speeds - speed of 1.2x are common - nothing near the 20x or 40x the drive is supposed to be capable of. Why is this and what can I do to improve it?
It may be your drive is set to PIO mode, which is slow and needs resetting for DMA mode click hereHas your pc always been slow to butn cds or is this a recent thing?
Thanks - I will read through and have a go at your suggested fix.I think it has always been slow - but am not sure. I have only just started ripping CDs using I Tunes....How fast should I expect a CD to be ripped? Thanks
I tried the suggestions, with no change is ripping speed. Does anyone know how I can judge what time a CD should take to rip to Apple lossless?
