Verifying DMI pool data

  InCog 14:04 01 Feb 03

My computer now hangs just about every time at start-up at the point where the screen reads 'Verifying DMI pool data'. I used to get round it by running 'scanreg / restore' from the Me start up disk but this doesn't work. Someone else said to go in to BIOS and enable 'reset configuration data' but each time I go back to it I find the change from disabled to enabled hasn't been saved. Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

Thanks very much - looks like this may have the solution, so I'm going to go through the options now.

I've tried the first of the options on the website and I've re-booted several times without any problems, so it looks to be in order. Thank you.
