Verdana and Georia in the Public Domain?

I read on another forum that these fonts are in the public domain. Is that true? If so, they would be ideal for putting Pāli texts on my website.

Georgia looks very much like Century Schoolbook.

Verdana is - use it one mine.

If you want to use a non-standard font on a wedsite search for WEFT from MS. If allows you to embed a font into your website so everyone can use it even if they don't have the font on their PC.

I downloaded the Weft tools ages ago, but it looks a bit too intimidating to me. I suspect it would be much easier to put a link on the relevant pages so that users can download the VerdanaPali font if they want to view Pali texts.

Verdana is fine for the web, Georgia would be a better choice for printed publications.
