Has anyone else experienced problems relating to this file which has been incorporated in a recent 'unknown' Windows update?

Google the file name and see what comes up and then check out my earlier posting on a desktop problem.

The only real problem I get now is when I right-click my desktop it hangs for a while before the um, the right-click your desktop box appears.

It is a MS glitch. To resolve until they put out a patch to fix.

Go into C: then open windows folder. Open System32 look for veclsid rename it veclsid.old

I'm happy now to close this thread after a few responses. Doesn't any of the forum members consider this update, not only unnnecessary, but downright intrusive and ill-conceived.

Simply read through skidzy's second reference!
