VCD disks I have created won't play any more on the computer, but play OK on standalone DVD players.

What can I do?

Have a go with JetAudio, free download from:

Scroll down the page to the bottom and select Jetaudio Basic Download.

I use it quite often and it seems to work with anything I throw at it.

It is not a matter of player compatibility. I can open the disk to inspect the folders and files, and can play the .DAT file by selcting OPEN WITH-

I want the disks to autoplay as they used to, and as other disks, DVDs and CDs, do.

Thanks for the help so far.

Thanks, Joe

I downloaded and ran Micosoft's AutoFix.exe

It shows everything as OK, so I am no further forward.

However, downloading gave me my first experience of Microsoft's new XP validation procedure!
