Vaio laptop won't see wireless networks!

  karafain 20:04 23 Dec 08

I have an older Sony Vaio laptop, up until it crashed a few months ago it was able to see and pick on on any surrounding wireless network.

The switch is one, and it's not picking up anything.

Any ideas? I'd really appreciate any help.

Have you install the wireless card driver, and enabled the wireless card

Turning on the switch on the computer only switch on the Wireless Card Antenna you also have to

Enable the Wireless card in Control Panel - Network Connection

Start-Setting-Network Connection-Right click Wireless Network Connection-Enable or Disable

as required

Some times you have to Disable and Enable before the card will connect to the wireless router system

I have installed the driver, it's also been updated, I have tried enabling and disabling as instructed my Vaio support. Now I don't even show connections to the network. And no networks can be found in range.
