V92-log ,where is it and what is called?

I'm sure that I recently saw a reference to a log created by your last internet session, that would inform one as to whether V92 is supported. My ISP told me it is a bit hit and miss with them. They do have some V92 modems but its hit and miss as to whether you get one or not with each time you call up.
Maybe there is a neater way. Like a query string that would let me know each time whether I have a V92 connection or not. I've already looked around the modem properties but did'nt see anything that would lead me to a log file

At the last count, 1stNet were the only UK ISP to offer V92 support.
