Using "=" sign in VBA string?

Hi folks….
I’m trying to write a piece of code that will insert a formula into a cell. The basic process is that the cell is selected and a button is clicked. A string is created, (containing variables which vary according to the row number of the cell), and then this is inserted into the cell.

I have 2 problems so I’ll use 2 threads…..

I have, through testing, managed to get the string into the cell using;

ActiveCell.Formula = BasicOriginal

Where BasicOriginal is the name of the string, however I can’t seem to find a way of getting the “=” sign inserted at the start of the string so that Excel knows it is a formula.

I have tried using Chr(61) to no avail.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Simsy

all I had to do was enclose an extra "=" at the start of my code..... I'd tried it previously but had been unsuccessful because of a different error!
