Using SATA2 RAID array with non- SATA system

Is it possible for me to connect a RAID array of 2 SATA2 format drives using a RAID card? As far as I understand I can use a SATA RAID card which fits into the PCI slot and link the drives to that, but aren't the power connectors on SATA drives different to IDE ones? If so can I get a convertor for that? Please specify the equipment I need.

Thanks

You can get adpaters.

However, firing two SATA drives down a PCI slot will have a performance decrease over using a hardcored SATA controller.
