I have installed a pci adsl modem instead of the BT voyager unit however the bt software does not allow for another device to be selected. BT have supplied the settings for the modem to access the broadband DSL and this works howver as I cannot "login" to the bt sevice I am unable to go online. Any help?

Have you asked BT?

I know this doesn't answer your question but it does take you post towards the top from being lost on page 3.

I still can't answer the question but it moves you to the top again.

I suggest now that you ask on the specialist forum at click here

Sorry if this sounds obvious, but can you not uninstal the Voyager modem in the Add/Remove program and let Windows find the new modem? Shirley the PCI modem came with drivers?

Thanks for all the comments however I have now resolved the problem by identifying the manufacrurer of the device who has posted an updated software package. The device was a Dabs value MegaSpeed PCI ADSL modem, the supplied software, under Winows ME only installed in LAN mode. The update software resolved this. the device works very well. BT were helpful in providing the ADSL runner settings. The manufacturers site is for anyone else having the same problem.
