Using jv16 powertools

I'm about to clean up my registry using jv16, which seems to be highly recommended here and elsewhere. Can anyone give me any advice: things to make sure I do, make sure I avoid? And in particular, can anyone tell me how to use the temp tool - I can't work out how to get it to scan and reveal the .tmp files on my c drive..
Thanks in advance...

In the Directory box, click the down arow and select the directory (folder) that you want to clean.

In the Files to delete box enter *.tmp (or whatever you want)

And off you go.

However, you could equally use Windows' own disk cleanup to achieve the same result.

I knew it would be easy!

Still grateful for anyone's comments about things to makes sure i do/avoid...
