Using external CD writer with XP

Hi all,

My operating system is XP Professional. As my laptop does not have a CD writer built in I was trying to use an external CD writer (hp cd writer 8200 series). however I could not install the driver for this as there is a compatibility issue with XP. What should I do? and How can use the CD writer without having to change from XP.

Cheers,

Dols

If you can find a Windows 2000 driver try that, it sometimes works.

A_World_Maker - Your link goes to a Scanner page, not a CD writer Page...

Dols...You could search the HP Site using A_World_Maker's link as a starting point, and find the latest driver for your CD writer.

What writer software are you using?
