Using Auxiliary Screen with Netbook

I've discovered how to make my TV a Smart TV by connecting my netbook via a HMDI cable. It works just fine but I would like to turn off my netbook display and just have the display on the TV. Can anyone tell me how to do this. My netbook runs window 7.

i used to do this on my notebook. In windows 7 press Control P and then select projector only and it should turn off the laptop screen and only display on the tv

the Fn + F key you use to select external screen will scroll through

laptop only

laptop plus external

external only

then back to laptop only

Just keep pressing to scroll through the options.
