User accounts and removing icons

  Daz35 20:47 25 May 04

I'm just setting up user accounts for my family on XP.
Simple question: How do I remove a shortcut from one user without removing it from another?
Eg: I run a business from this PC and need the shortcuts for me, but not for the kids.
Everytime I take it off the kids desktop, it disappears off mine.
Any ideas?

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop is where shared icons reside.

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Desktop is individual to a user. <username> is obviously the name of the user.

Similarly C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu holds items that will appear on everyones Start Menu.

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start Menu for each individual's Start Menu.
