user account

i recently wiped my computer and the user account come up when i start up my computer how do i switch of this feature so my computer will just start up with out haveing to choose which user.
i am on windows xp

Accounts options ---
To stop your system from displaying the Welcome Screen, go to "Start->Run" and type in "control userpasswords2" (but without the quatations). Untick the "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer" option and click OK

i have done what u said but now its bringing up a login screen and asking me to log into windows now i cant get signed back into my computer is there any way i can sign into my computer without knowin the user name and password. i have already tried staring up in safe nmode and still the log on screen still come up.
