After the purchase of Acronis true image I tried to back up useing DVD`s instead of CD`s but seem to get errors is this because I should use CD`s???? asrobs.

Acronis True Image doesn't support backing up directly to DVDs.

Norton Ghost does support backup to dvd's.

It's been on the wish list (along with being able to make the CD's / DVD's bootable) for a while now.

This means I need to buy CD`s but they only have a capacity of 800mb and I need 13.5gb to cover all my system.!! asrobs.

Maybe cheaper (in the long run) to get an external USB drive or a second internal hard drive.

I would NEVER trust a backup to a CD and most certainly not to a DVD.

Do as Paul2005 suggests and use another hard drive (internal or external).

"I would NEVER trust a backup to a CD and most certainly not to a DVD."

Yup. Only takes one scratch or duff CD out of a set of 8 to destroy the entire image.

Much easier and quicker to use a second hard drive.
