use word2000 on vista pc?

I have microsoft works suite software discs from my old windows 98se pc can I install word 2000 from it & run it on new vista pc without it causing problems or should I pay out for the home & student 2007?

posting back as I just had a look at disc & its an OEM version can I still install it?

I have no idea how to find what version it is but its very old.

Well technically no, but....

It should say on the disk which version it is, if not the install it and see if it works, making sure of course to create a restore point first.
