I was attempting to use my laptop to get iPlayer onto my Flat screen TV, I used the correct cable from one to the other and the correct port on the TV, Should I be doing something else?? As the message I managed to get was something like "Not a recognised video format" My laptop is using Vista Premium 64 bit. I went into the Comtrol panel Sis and tinkered with the settings but couldn't get it right.

The cable I have is VGA.

I know on my tv I have a settings button which I must press, in fact I have 4, 1 for tv, 1 for video, 1 for pc and 1 for scart.

Thanks, but I did that and first got a blue screen then the above message or similar, so I think it must be my PC settings that I need to adjust. There must be a way.

I notice that you have marked this as resolved. It is always helpful to others who may have the same problem as you if you can explain just how you sorted this - for example was it changing the PC resolution as suggested by GANDALF <|:-)>?
