Use stand-by not shut down all time any probs ?

Since I got the new machine with XP, I've become quite taken with the stand-by function. The attraction being the instant boot-up when I wiggle my mouse (phnar phnar). Is there any problem with this ? I haven't done a full Boot-down/up for about two weeks.

I leave mine on stand-by, but shut down once a week, the theory being it resets everything. Booting up then gives the opportunity for any error messages to appear, if anything new has a problem.

Not very scientific, but it somehow is reassuring if it boots up cleanly.
