Use boot manager to install operating systems

I have a hard drive with several partitions on it. Each partition has a different Windows operating system on it. At the moment Windows ME, XP SP1 and SP2 occupy the 3 partitions.

My problem is that the Windows ME installation appears to be badly corrupted. Whenever I use ME I find more and more problems with it that I cannot fix. I think I need to reinstall from the Windows ME setup cdrom.

I don't want to mess up the XP systems in the process. I have Paragon Partition Manager 5.6 which includes BootManager - would this enable me to wipe the ME drive clean and then reinstall the operating system without losing the boot menu which allows access to the XP systems.

OR can I stick with the standard XP boot menu?

Would booting into XP's Recovery Console with the XP setup cdrom and then typing :

bootcfg /rebuild

recreate the boot menu on startup?
