Are USB keyboards and mice supported during the initial setup and installation of Vista?

I am going to install vista on a clean HDD and have a USB keyboard and mouse and I was wandering if I can use them during installation or use an old type adapter.

Make sure USB Legacy for DOS (or similar sounding) is Enabled in the BIOS, to allow your USB key Board / mouse to work before Windows loads.
