USB stick could not be detected

I have an issue with this USB memory stick of mine. Usually, it would be detected or picked up by the computer after it's been plugged in. However, this was not the case. I could not see it appearing on the windows explorer. My question is whether there is any ways of retrieving all the files stored on it.

Thank you in advance

the easiest way is to plug it into another pc. The question is, why will your pc not recognise it? You could try uninstalling the usb ports in Device Manager. Re-boot the pc and let windows recognise the usb port and install drivers for them, your memory stick should then work.

If the PC has been running sometime before you plugged in the device- The computer seems not to want to interrogated what is being stuck into it.
Leave the device plugged in and reboot.
See what happens then
