One way to freeup a USB where, as in my case, your keyboard came with a USB connection and your computer has a PS2 port. The product is out there I am told.

If I have understood your question correctly, then yes, I think there is a connector for your keyboard. Try PC World to start with.

I have a cordless USB Mouse, but for use during the setup of the operating system, and prior to installing the USB driver, there is a lead provided to plug into the mouse, and then to the PS2 port. J.

PC World and Maplin's have this device. I recently purchased a Packard Bell 'cordless' mouse. This came with a USB to PS2 adaptor.
