usb port problem

Ive just reformated & installed win xp after a friends pc wouldnt start, the pc is working fine except i cant get the usb ports to work, the motherboard is a ECS K7S5A, in device manager everything looks to be ok but i cant get any usb devices to work ???

Have you tried uninstalling them in Device Manager and then rebooting to see if they install correctly?

Have you installed all the drivers from the motherboard driver disk which will include the USB device for that particular motherboard?

I dont have the driver cd for the motherboard & xp installed its own drivers, i did look on the ECS site but could not see any usb drivers just audio graphics ect,chub_tor i'll give that a try thanks.
