usb not finding tomtom

hi just got the 6000 tomtom go my computer cannot find it when I plug it in nothing happens thanks

Have you installed the TomTom my connect software, don't think it shows up as a USB device, it should connect direct to TomTom through your default browser (there should be a small icon bottom right, by your clock)

Hi hubdean, think that's the software for older models, go to tomtom website and download then install the my drive connect software for your operating system

already done this & just downloaded it again. and wont find tom tom . plug in my old one and works ok finds it no prob thanks for trying

sorry, hubdean, misread your post, I thought you had "home" software, does this model come with a charging cradle, if so try plugging direct to the unit, also (if you haven't already) plug it in using a USB socket at the back of the PC

I found the problem you got to take the window mount off and it works don't tell you that on box or anywhere els thank tomtom thak you for trying mick

Working well now 1 hour to update bet a lot of others have had this problem so simple but 0/10 for tom tom and im going to tell them to thanks
