Is it possible to connect a USB printer to a USB hub and then connect different PCs to the hub and all of them use the printer?

The intention is to connect the printer to a desk top and a small number of LAptops but not to have to unplug the desk top from the printer at any time.

Any ideas?

What you want is to network the computers via a network switch/router and plug a "print server" into one of the LAN ports. The USB printer then plugs into the print server and can be used by all of the networked computers.

This is the model I have which will give you a combined 4-port network switch and Print Server for USB printer - click here
