USB Mouse problem

Hi again.
I have just installed a microsoft intellimouse explorer 4.0A.
All works well, not a bad mouse but, when I boot up I have to pull the plug and reinsert for it to be recognised.
The light is on so there is power to it, it just wont recognise it without me pulling the plug after start up.
I have tried different usb ports.
Any clues?
Cheers.

Try booting into the BIOS/Setup and look for and enable USB Mouse and/or USB legasy

That was already enabled.
I was using a wireless usb mouse before.
Uninstalled those drivers and installed these new ones.
It's a pain.
I will try a usb to ps2 adapter if there are no other ideas.
Cheers
