USB Memory Key Not Supported

The operating system on my new computer is XP Media Centre Edition 2005 and works fine with the exception that it does not recognise USB memory keys (I've tried three). The USB ports work with other peripherals, and the memory keys work well with my XP SP2-supported laptop computer. The computer vendor (Mesh) says it is a software problem whereas the Memory Key suppliers say it is not a driver problem. I'm at a lost to know what to do! Can you help?

Go to Start> Settings> Control Panel> Administrive Tools> Computer Management> Storage> Disk Management.
Does it show the USB Memory Key?
