USB Keys and Windows ME

  Marvo 13:54 13 Apr 04

On trying to use a USB key I'm prompted to search for a file on the Windows ME disk. As this came pre installed with my machine I don't have an ME disk. Can I get the necessary file on the web somewhere? Presently my machine can't see the key.

All the USB devices I have bought have been supplied with a CD containing drivers for earlier version of Windows 98SE and ME. Did you not get one with the USB Key?

Sometimes the windows installation files are stored in the i386 directory in C:\Windows.

USB Key didn't come with a disk. Have downloaded the system files onto a floppy and will give it a go.

Cheers for the advice.
