via usb ide drivers

i have just fitted a four port pci card usb two. I have xp on ,and i have a gygabite 7vxe f3 board.
but I can not find this driver on my motherboard disk . and xp continualy asks for this driver when ever I boot up . I used the driver disk on the four port usb .but it caused a block up and I had to replace xp .has any one else had problems with this configuration

You may need to install the XP patch, or SP1 to get USB2 support.

XP in its original form does not support USB2 unless you download the patch or SP1, it's nothing to do with VIA or the mobo

thanks every one i have found the patch seems to have resolved the problem for now
