USB hub compatibility question

  golfpro 10:00 22 May 06

I have had a USB hub for quite some time, but I can't remember if it is compatible with USB 2.0 or only USB 1.0.
The only markings on are "USB hub 104". Can anyone help to identify this.

If you have XP, go to Device Manager>USB Controllers>you will hopefully see alongside one or more of the listings the word Enhanced.

This indicates that USB2 drivers have been installed.

I have XP Home.
Stuartli, re your answer
This might be a dumb question, but does the USB hub have to be conected first?????

BTW it is a brand new PC shop bought so I should imagine that all the USB ports are USB2.

They should all be USB 2 with XP. However if you buy external USB make sure you get a Hub that as it's own power and it's USB 2

Sorry my post was probably a bit ambiguous. This is an external hub I am talking about.
