Received a SanDisk USB ImageMate USB Reader/Writer for Christmas.

When I plug it in to my 4 port USB Hub I get a message telling me the USB Hub Power Exceeded.

Can anyone suggest a replacement Hub please.

You probably have too many things plugged in.

Is your 4 port USB hub powered by the Bus or by the mains? (ie does it plug into the mains as well as the PC USB port??)

Try unplugging something and then plugging it in.

Hub is powered by the mains as well as the PC USB port, have unplugged all other connections in the Hub, still get the same message.

Sorry should have said using XP no drivers required.

Have to go out for a couple of hours will check back later.

Either update the motherboard drivers or return to SanDisk for replacement.

Update to my question, I purchased a Belkin 7 Port Hub with a larger power supply.

Everything now works ok.
