What op system are you using? XP Vista 7?

Does it contain any data if not has it been formatted?

You may need to find it in disk management and assign a drive letter.

Cheers Fruit Bat /\0/\ , I'm still on XP, My drive has been used in the past and has loads of data on it, The drive works fine on my work PC and my laptop. It has also worked on my PC before, I thought it was a power issue hence buying the powered hub. Will look for it in disk management..

Found Disk 1 "not initialized" properties are "VisualDisk USB device" I have looked for updated drivers but none found.

http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk Test Disk is free, down load it and use it to rebuild the partition table.

USB drive not good through a Hub

woodchip

I have two USB hard drives both running through a Powered USB Hub, for several years now without any problems!

I too have no problems with USB drives through a powered hub but note powered (ie has its own power supply).
