USB is broken. Important files may be lost.

Someone ran into my USB while it was connected to my laptop and it has broken. As you can probably guess from the title, it has something very important on it which, to make matters worse, is due tomorrow. The connecting place has detached from the memory part but nothing appears to be broken, I have tried putting it back together, but it doesn't seem to be working. What do I do??

There is nothing you can do, unless you are handy with a precision electronic soldering gun.

You may be able to get the stem fixed if you take it to a computer repair shop, but don't hold out too much hope.

Important files should always be kept in 2 or preferably 3 places.

eg Main drive, Flash drive, Cloud (Dropbox/OneDrive/Google Drive)

A proper external hard drive is also useful since it can backup your whole system as well as its personal contents.

You'll have to make your excuses I would imagine.

Try to get into good habits.
