USB Broadband Modem connecting to Router.

  Oddjob99bowls 00:08 23 Feb 03

I have a Speedtouch 330 Broadband modem which connects to a USB socket
I have a DI - 604 4 way Router that requires to be connected to a RJ45 socket on the modem.
This of course does not exist.
Can anyone advise how I can connect them up.
Many Thanks.

Your router comes with an RJ-45 TX port for a modem, but as you say, you can't connect a USB modem directly to the router.

There's a special D-Link number in the UK specifically for support enquiries concerning these routers, and I suggest that you give them a call.

Here's the number: 0800 917 5063

Bit confused here because your 604 (g?)wireless router should already have an ASDL interface, hence you don't need your modem any more. You should be able to connect the router directly into your phone line.

Thanks for the advice.

The DI 604 is not the wireless version and it does need a separate modem to connect to the click here works fine as a network router without the modem.
