USB audible warnings

Does anyone know what the quadruple low audible warning is when you plug in a usb device and windows will not detect it. The sound is not the usual DA DING when it detects a divice nor DA DO when yo unplug one its more DO DO DO DO very quickly. If anyone knows what it means do you have any advice on how i get windows to detect the device.

Sorry about the dramatic DA's Do's & Ding's

It may be trying to draw too many milliamps. Ports when grouped are limited to 500 milliamps, for the group

I have just had to reinstall windows as the SYSTEM\CONFIG file was corupt and the device is a Netgear wireless adaptor and it used to work fine before

"Device failed to connect"
Look in Control panel - Sounds and Audio devices - Sounds. In the Windows section there's a group for devices. Select the sound you want to hear and click the right arrow between the sound name box and the Browse button.
