Is usb any faster than parallel for printing?

most new printers have a choice of usb or parallel for printer connection.Is there any difference in print speeds particularly on photos?

There are other factors that are much more likely to have an impact. USB has the potential to transfer data quicker, but it doesn't meen it is sent quicker, or processed quicker.
