Hi and evening.

Can anyonre give me an explanation as to what each of the following do....

universal host controller.

usb root hub.

I have just bought a hub to set up and came across the other usb items in device manager.
would I be near if I thought the root hub is the one either integrated into the mother board or plugged in? and just wanted to know what the controller did.
seem to be so manyy usb items and just wanted to understand them a little better.
many thanks dan12

universal host controller Drivers for the relevant USB chipset fitted in your machine click here

Each controller has 2 USB root hubs.
Each root hub corresponds to an available "USB Port", even though you may not have "external access" to that port.
