got a friend who has a ipod but when he plugs it in gets a message saying his usb is not fast enough what does he need to upgrade from 1.0 to 2.0

they are usually backward compatible, i have an external hard drive caddy and get the same message but ignore it and it still works.

The simplest way to upgrade is to buy a USB 2.0 PCI card, you should be able to get one for less than £20. All your friend needs to make sure is that he/she has a spare PCI slot, they are the white ones. click here or click here Make sure your friends PC is fast enough and that he/she has Windows 98 or above.
