USB 2.0

I currently run a windows ME computer with the following spec:

Compaq Presario 5146EA 470019-259 MODEL2
1300 megahertz AMD Athlon Processor
Board: Compaq 0708h
Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: Compaq 786K3 07/26/2001

I have the following bus adaptors and controllers:

Bus Adapters:

VIA Tech 3038 PCI to USB Universal Host Controller VIA Tech 3038 PCI to USB Universal Host Controller

Two USB Root hub controllers

Standard Floppy Disk Controller Primary IDE controller (dual fifo) Secondary IDE controller (dual fifo) VIA Bus Master PCI IDE Controller

Currently, I think my computer only runs on USB 1.1, but I do want the extra speed and performance that is available in USB 2.0.

I know I need to buy a pci / usb 2.0 card, but need some advice on which one to get - and where to get them? I was thinking of this one - will it work with my computer spec?

Although is it easier just to buy this boxed set?

The set seems to meet my spec nicely, although i'm not sure if the number of ports on offer is adequate (boxed offers five)?

All comments welcome,

Thanks in advance,

click here and look up product # LN 3683 - £11-69 inc VAT. Rather high packing cost though but, even so, cheaper than Amazon.
