Moving out and into budget mode. Will not have cable or landline. Have wireless laptop (use to get online w/ modem & thru phone co.) and need to know cheapest yet best (oximoron) way to have wireless. Used Verizon while in AZ but $60!/mo. And don't need UK info please. THANX!

Good luck with finding a WiFi Hotspot near your home - it should not be a problem if/when you are travelling.

since i'm really a newbie to all this stuff.
But thanks for everyone's help! At least I'll know where to start now. Feel free to add any other suggestions tho. I tried to sign up with jiwire but i don't have a URL? think i can still use their services, right?

Don't see why not, why do you need a a url

Just fill in the form with your location and zip code and it will tell you about hot spots in your area
