URL's not working

  jack 10:07 07 May 08

This is about one of my flock.
He receives in his E-mial from friends the occasional URL- as indeed from me say.

It displays in the familiar underlined in blue.
But they do not always work when clicked on from his E-mail client.- that is no activity at all.

He has therefore tried copy and paste into a browser.
Here go gets 'Page not found' very often.
The link will activate if he types it in as a new search into 'say' Google.
So it would seem the link arrives damaged in some way.
What could be doing this?

Will pass that on, although I think he in fact uses Thunderbird- but it could point a way.

maybe nothing to do with it but i have been caught out a few times whereby i have two or three explorer windows minimised and keep clicking on a link thinking it does not work befor i realise that one of the minimised pages has actually changed to the site i wanted?

Another possible remedy is Start > Run > type

regsvr32 urlmon.dll

and then click OK.
