URL Link thing

Sorry don't mean to be vague.
In an email one can provide a URL link to a picture or web site etc. I use Gmail and there is a facility to rename the link. So for example I could post a link to a video on youtube and change the subsquent URL to "Kev's Vid's" and it would still be a link.
Can I do the same on Facebook?

Cheers Kev

Provided the link is valid (ie correctly written) it should work regardless of whether you cut&paste or type it in fully/partly.

An easy check is to produce the link in the draft e-mail and to click it or paste it into your browser.
